AutoDeal’s H1 2020 Industry Insights Report provides a detailed look at how the Philippine automotive market adapted during a challenging first half of the year. Despite major disruption across the industry, online demand remained resilient as consumers increasingly relied on digital platforms to research vehicles, compare options, submit enquiries, and complete purchases. The report highlights shifting buyer behaviour, faster digital adoption, changing vehicle preferences, and the growing importance of lead management and dealer responsiveness.
The report demonstrates how digital automotive retail became more important than ever, with over 14.2 million website visits, 130,000+ quotes and test drives, and 11,441 confirmed purchases tracked through the AutoDeal platform in H1 2020. Mobile usage continued to dominate, with 81.6% of buyers shopping via smartphone, reinforcing the need for mobile-first customer experiences. Buyers also took longer to complete purchases, averaging 63 days from enquiry to sale, highlighting the need for stronger lead nurturing and financing support.
The H1 2020 report shows that even during uncertain market conditions, buyer demand remained active online. Consumers became more digital, more research-driven, and more value-conscious. For dealers and brands, success increasingly depended on strong online presence, fast lead response, mobile-ready experiences, and data-led sales processes, trends that continue to shape the market today.
